CO2 Emissions Overview

Since FY 2020, CyberAgent has been working on calculating CO2 emissions with the aim of understanding and reducing the emissions generated by our business activities, and obtained third-party verification since FY 2022.

Given our business's primary focus on the internet industry, direct emissions are minimal. Over 90% of our total emissions are indirect, falling under Scope 2 and Scope 3.

CO2 Emissions Data

CO2 Emissions Related to Offices and Data Centers

Considering the nature of our business, electricity use in employee offices and data centers is essential for business operations. From FY 2024, we have implemented energy-saving measures targeting lighting and air conditioning in major offices, achieving an average monthly electricity usage reduction of approximately 20% compared to the previous year. Additionally, the progression of renewable energy adoption in the cloud services we use has contributed to a gradual decrease in CO2 emissions from electricity use, inversely proportional to the growth in consolidated sales revenue.

We expect that the growing use of generative AI will lead to an increase in electricity usage in data centers. However, we also anticipate that service providers will continue to adopt renewable energy more widely, and we are committed to closely monitoring these trends.

Our Efforts in Environmental Data Disclosure
