  • CO2 Emissions Data

CyberAgent has been working on disclosing information on greenhouse gas emissions from its business activities since the fiscal year 2020.Due to the nature of our business, which is mainly in the Internet domain, the calculation of CO2 emissions covers emissions from our main domestic offices, emissions from the data centers for the operation of the internet services we provide, employees' commuting, and business trips, etc. We will continue to measure the environmental impact of business activities and strive to improve business efficiency and reduce total CO2 emissions at the same time.

  • Security Protection and Recycle

For the disposal of documents in the office, we use a dedicated recycling services such as "Mamoru-kun" (Japan Purple Inc.) to both maintain confidentiality and recycle. In FY2023, CyberAgent and group companies that use similar services curbed deforestation by the equivalent of 669 trees per year. We also offset the carbon emissions generated by the disposal process of approximately 36.7 t-co2 through the "Mamoru-kun ZERO" (Japan Purple Inc.) service.

  • Promotion of Digitalization

CyberAgent is working on digitalizing internal documents, including cost calculations, invoices, and received faxes to reduce the amount of paper used in the office. By developing and providing “GEPPO,” a tool to assess employee conditions and promoting digitalization of various kind of documents related to business transactions, we create an environment where each employee can focus on their primary duties by preparing an internal system.

  • Conversion of Studio Lights into LED

CyberAgent reduces the environmental burden by saving energy. An example is to adopt LED lights for the studio that "ABEMA" uses for shooting. LED emits less harmful rays, such as heat rays and UV, and will also lead to cutting down stress found in shooting, like heat factors.

  • Collection of Used Cosmetic Bottles

"N organic," a natural lifestyle brand operated by Shiroku, Inc., a subsidiary of CyberAgent, is engaged in sustainable beauty initiatives such as recycling marble (Terazo) made from crushed used cosmetic bottles into floors and sinks in its directly managed stores. In July 2020, in collaboration with TerraCycle, Inc., N organic launched the Eco Program to collect used cosmetic containers and recycle them as a new resource. All used cosmetic containers (plastic, glass, and aluminum containers) of N Organic and other brands will be collected at the Yurakucho Marui store, and customers who bring their used cosmetic containers will receive a 500 yen off coupon to be used in the store. We aim to contribute to marine plastic pollution and the reduction of waste, which are currently global problems.
