We adopt a shareholder benefit program to express our gratitude to shareholders for their continuous support. We hope it will help to deeply understand our service and encourage more people to own our shares over the medium to long term.

Details

A free coupon for the premium service of ABEMA, provided by our consolidated subsidiary AbemaTV, Inc, will be sent to the eligible shareholders.

Eligible shareholders

Shareholders who hold 100 shares or more of the Company's stock as of the end of September of each year are eligible for the program.

*The date of rights allotment is three business days prior to the record date (September 30) excluding holidays and weekends. Shareholders who have purchased shares by that date are eligible for the shareholder benefit program.

About Shareholder Benefits

Q1 How can I check if I am eligible for the Shareholder Benefit Program?: A1

From 2023, shareholders who hold at least one unit (100 shares) of our company's stock and are listed in the shareholders' register at the end of September are eligible for the program. Please review the information above, as there are two types of coupons depending on the number of shares held.

Q2 When will I receive information on how to use shareholder benefits?: A2

When the "Notice of Convocation of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders" and "Voting Form" are mailed to shareholders in mid-November, we will also include "Instructions for Use" for shareholder benefits and "Coupons" for eligible shareholders.

Q3 I have not received the notice of shareholder benefits.: A3

If you have not received documents by mid-November, please contact the shareholder registry administrator shown below.

Q4 How do I find my shareholder number to access shareholder benefits?: A4

Your shareholder number is shown in the upper left corner of the Voting Form.
If you have not received your Voting Form, please contact the shareholder registry administrator listed in Q3.

Q5 Can non-shareholders use shareholder benefits?: A5

Benefits can only be used by the shareholder. The transfer of shareholder benefit rights to anyone other than the shareholder is prohibited, and the Company assumes no responsibility whatsoever, including responding to any inquiries from anyone other than the shareholder.

Q6 When is the deadline to start using the coupon?: A6

For FY2023 shareholder benefit coupons, please start using them by the end of September 2024.

Q7 About cash conversion or resale of coupons: A7

Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash or sold to a third party.

Q8 Does the content or services available vary based on the number of shares held?: A8

No. The same viewing content and services are available regardless of the number of shares owned.

Q9 I have lost my shareholder benefit coupon.: A9

If you have lost your coupon, please contact us using this form.
When making inquiries, your name, address, shareholder number, and postal code will be required. Please have them ready at hand.

Coupon Code

Q11 Can the coupon be used with my current ABEMA free account?: A11

Yes, the coupon can be used with an ABEMA free account. Please follow the steps described in the "Instructions for Use.

Q12 I am currently using the ABEMA Premium free trial. Can I use the coupons during this period?: A12

Coupons cannot be used during the free trial period. If you are in the free trial period, you must cancel your ABEMA Premium trial before using the coupons. Please see the cancellation procedure below.

How to cancel ABEMA Premium (Japanese)

Even after the cancellation procedure is completed, the ABEMA Premium plan will be effective within 2 days ^*1 of joining ABEMA Premium (Free Trial)^*2. Please make sure the viewing plan displayed on your My Page is set to ""Basic"" before redeeming the coupon.
* 1 With ""ABEMA Premium (Free Trial),"" the next renewal charge will be applied 24 hours before the expiration date.
* 2 As of September 1, 2023

Q13 Can I use the coupon if I am already an ABEMA Premium member?: A13

Current "ABEMA Premium members cannot use the coupons. To use the coupon, you must first cancel your ABEMA Premium membership. Please see Q12 for details on how to cancel.
Even after the cancellation procedure is completed, the ABEMA Premium plan will be effective within 1 month of joining ABEMA Premium. Therefore, please ensure that the viewing plan displayed on your My Page is set to "Basic" before redeeming the coupon.
* The next renewal charge will be applied 24 hours before the ABEMA Premium expiration date.

Q14 Can I register coupons from the app?: A14

Coupons cannot be registered from the app. Registration is only possible from a smartphone (browser), computer, or tablet.
Please refer to the "Shareholder Benefit Coupon - Instructions for Use" that will be sent out in mid-November.

Q15 Can I register coupons from a TV?: A15

"Coupons cannot be registered from a TV. Registration is only possible from a smartphone (browser), computer, or tablet.

After applying the coupon, you can use ABEMA Premium on your TV by linking it to your account (ID). Please see the detailed procedures listed below.

Sharing your account (ID) with another device (Japanese)

Q16 Can the same coupon be used more than once?: A16

No. Coupons can only be used once.

Q17 The coupon's expiration deadline has passed.: A17

We apologize for any inconvenience, but shareholder benefit coupons cannot be used after the deadline. Also note that we are unable to extend or reissue the coupon after the deadline.

Q18 When I manually entered the coupon code, it displayed an input error and I could not register the coupon.: A18

Check to see if you are reading numbers as letters (or vice versa), such as 0 (zero) and O (letter "O"). Other common mix-ups include D and 2; Z and 5; S and 6; and G and 8.
You can also use your smartphone to scan the QR code printed on the coupon. This will automatically enter the code for a smoother experience.

Q19 I registered a coupon but am not an ABEMA Premium member.: A19

You may not have logged in with the email address you used to register the coupon. Please double check that you are using the correct email address and try again.
See Q22 for information on how to check your email address.

Q20 Do I need to cancel ABEMA Premium after the coupon validity period expires?: A20

No cancellation procedure is required. Your plan will automatically switch to the "Basic" viewing plan for free members.

Q21 I want to temporarily stop using a coupon.: A21

You cannot temporarily stop using a coupon.

Q22 I can't remember the email address/password I used to register.: A22

You can find the registered email address by clicking on [My Page] →[Manage Account] in the ABEMA menu.
Passwords must be 8–32 characters long, alphanumeric, and contain only underscores (_) or hyphens (-) as special characters.

Your current viewing plan is shown on your ABEMA "My Page".

For premium members

Q24 Can I use a coupon if I used to be an ABEMA Premium member but my Premium membership has expired?: A24

Yes, you can use a coupon in this case. Please ensure that the viewing plan displayed on your My Page is set to "Basic" before redeeming the coupon.

Q25 Can I use the coupon immediately after canceling my ABEMA Premium plan?: A25

The coupon cannot be used immediately after canceling ABEMA Premium. Even after the cancellation procedure is completed, the ABEMA Premium plan will be effective within 1 month of joining ABEMA Premium. Therefore, you will only be able to use the coupon after your viewing plan has been changed to "Basic".
Because the date and time for which the coupon can be used depends on your plan subscription date, please check the expiration date of your ABEMA Premium plan on your My Page.

Q26 If I want to use a coupon, by when do I have to cancel my ABEMA Premium subscription?: A26

ABEMA Premium subscriptions must be canceled at least 24 hours before the expiration date.
Please keep in mind that your subscription will be automatically renewed if you cancel too late.
Cancellation procedures vary depending on the payment method registered. See below for more information.

Q27 I canceled my ABEMA Premium subscription but am unable to register my coupon.: A27

Even after the cancellation procedure is completed, the ABEMA Premium plan will be effective within 1 month of joining ABEMA Premium. Therefore, please ensure that the viewing plan displayed on your My Page is set to "Basic" before redeeming the coupon.
