Initiatives to Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

Energy Conservation in Offices

In our offices, which have particularly high electricity consumption, we have implemented lighting and air conditioning measures that save energy without compromising the comfort of the office work environment. Since implementing the measures, we have succeeded in reducing our average monthly electricity consumption (kWh) by around 20%.

Energy Conservation in Studios

In the studio CyberAgent uses for filming, we have reduced environmental impact by adopting LED lights to illuminate the studio. LEDs not only reduce harmful emissions such as heat rays and UV light, but they also help reduce stressful factors in shooting, such as unwanted heat. We save electricity in the advertising photo studio by optimizing the air conditioning usage times and have also introduced large LED displays with live-action backgrounds that eliminate the need to travel to ad locations. These initiatives are helping us improve shooting efficiency while reducing environmental impact.

Promoting the Shift to a Paperless Environment

By digitizing internal documents, invoices, and contracts, we are streamlining operations and creating an environment where employees can focus on their own work. We are also working with municipalities, health insurance providers and tax authorities to implement paperless processing for a wide range of documents required for employment and tax-related procedures, reducing mailing costs and environmental impact.

Confidentiality and Recycling

For the disposal of documents in the main offices of the group, we use dedicated recycling services to both maintain confidentiality and recycle. In FY2024, CyberAgent and group companies offset the carbon emissions generated by the disposal process of 22.5 t-co2 through the "Mamoru-kun ZERO" (Japan Purple Inc.) service.

Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Renovation

Realgate Inc., a subsidiary of CyberAgent, implements 'Green Building Regeneration' that reduces unnecessary waste and CO2 emissions during development. By making the best use of the structure, interior, exterior, and equipment of old buildings, it significantly reduces CO2 emissions during the construction process. Depending on the situation, it upgrades air-conditioning, lighting, and plumbing systems to the latest models, achieving cost-effective office operations through improved energy efficiency, power, and water savings. The "AMBRE" office complex, which opened in July 2024, uses 100% renewable energy, achieving zero CO2 emissions from electricity use. It also uses sustainable building materials such as carbonized cork, recycled panels, and egg paint for interior and exterior decoration. The mini-biotopes installed on the roof provide a resting place for birds and insects traveling through the area, helping to improve local biodiversity.

Collection of Used Cosmetic Bottles

"N organic," a natural lifestyle brand operated by Shiroku, Inc., a subsidiary of CyberAgent, is engaged in sustainable beauty initiatives such as recycling marble (terrazzo) made from crushed used cosmetic bottles into floors and sinks in its directly managed stores. In July 2020, in collaboration with TerraCycle, Inc., N organic launched its Eco Program to collect used cosmetic containers and recycle them as a new resource.
