COVID-19 Response Measures
Efforts to ensure the health, safety, and working environment of employees from threats like COVID-19
Responding to the spread of the COVID-19 in Japan, CyberAgent has taken steps to ensure a safe and secure working environment for employees. These include the promotion of remote working from late-March 2020 for all employees, including group companies, in accordance with Tokyo Metropolitan Government's request to take voluntary measures. In response to the government's request to reduce company attendance to around 20% in line with the state-of-emergency declaration, we also provided an environment that allowed employees to maintain comparable work efficiency even while working from home, and reduced the percentage of employees physically going to work by about 3% from the end of March 2020 to end of April 2020. We are also actively developing initiatives that will make it possible to grasp employee work conditions while working from home and contribute to better relationships.

Various Efforts to Ensure a Worry-free Work Environment
CyberAgent plans to begin the on-site COVID-19 vaccination program
In cooperation with medical institutions, we will start COVID-19 inoculation for approximately 8,500 of our group's employees, including temporary employees and contract employees who apply for it, from June 21, 2021, onward*. The time required for vaccination and transportation will be treated as working hours, and up to two days of special leave will be granted to employees who need to rest due to adverse reactions to vaccines.
* The on-site COVID-19 vaccination program starts on June 29, 2021.
Conventional efforts
Systematized work activities and moved them online
CyberAgent is advancing efforts to improve business efficiency and security protection with measures that include moving business folders to the cloud, shifting to online-based contracts and invoices, and introducing video conferencing systems. By providing multiple VPN connections that ensure secure data transmission, we have established an environment where employees can continue to work without stress and without compromising performance, even when working remotely due to COVID-19.
Reference: Utilization of video conferencing and VPN connections before and after remote work began
After remote work was recommended to all employees on March 26, there was increased use of video conferencing and VPN in terms of both people and time used. However, since a better environment than previous was established, as seen below, work was able to progress smoothly without interruption.
Keeping track of employee conditions
Once a month, we conduct a simple questionnaire called "GEPPO," which asks employees to rate their own performance, team conditions, etc. using weather terms such as "sunny" or "rainy." For those working long-term remotely due to COVID-19, this tool is now being used to conduct questionnaires aimed at understanding the conditions, anxiety, and concerns of remote workers. As a result, some 60% of employees have been able to smoothly adapt to the remote-work environment immediately after starting to work remotely, and more improvements have continued through the ingenuity of the group and its individuals.

Q: How is remote working going for you? Describe it in terms of weather.

"Have Fun at Work" The Younger Engineers Networking Project up to the Third Year of Experience
While new employees who have been working remotely since joining the company are finding it more difficult to network with other engineers than in previous years, the 170 young engineers who joined the company from fiscal year 2018 to 2020 are planning a project "Hove Fun at Work" to build horizontal, vertical, and diagonal connections on their own.
It will support building the cross-divisional connections that are essential for accelerating their future performance and maximizing business outcomes.
