BABEL LABEL, CyberAgent Group’s Content Studio and Netflix Enter into Strategic Partnership

Babel Label Co.,  Ltd. (head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hisato Yamada), a subsidiary company of CyberAgent, Inc. (head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Susumu Fujita; TSE: 4751) partners with Netflix in a multi-picture deal over the next five years. The partnership will involve the development of large-scale projects and the production of live-action films and series that have been resonating strongly with fans all over the world. 

The studio is home to outstanding creators such as director-writer Michihito Fujii, who was named Director of the Year at the 2020 Japan Academy Awards for The Journalist. This film, crowned Picture of the Year by the Japan Academy Awards, was adapted into a Netflix series last year. 

“We are delighted that this partnership deal will bring BABEL LABEL's works to the world. By developing projects together with Netflix, we are committed to develop great stories from Japan and produce them into global hits,” says Hisato Yamada,  CEO, BABEL LABEL.

With Michito Fujii and other spirited video creators, BABEL LABEL will transcend boundaries to capture the current era in all areas of filmmaking.
