Sumzap Announces the First Smartphone Game Based on the TV Anime JUJUTSU KAISEN: JUJUTSU KAISEN phantom parade

Sumzap, Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeaki Kuwada; ‘Sumzap’ hereafter), a subsidiary of CyberAgent, Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Susumu Fujita; TSE: 4751) today announced JUJUTSU KAISEN phantom parade (‘phanpara’ hereafter), a smartphone game based on the TV anime JUJUTSU KAISEN. Phanpara is designed and produced by TOHO CO., LTD. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshishige Shimatani) and will be designed, produced, developed, and operated by Sumzap.
The TV anime JUJUTSU KAISEN is based on the popular comic by Gege Akutami which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) since 2018 and portrays the battles of the Jujutsu Sorcerers as they confront cursed spirits – the manifestation of people’s negative emotions – in a bid to exorcise them. Over 50 million copies have been circulated in Japan, including digital editions of the original comic. JUJUTSU KAISEN 0: The Movie, the movie version of JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 – Tokyo Jujutsu High School, drawn by Gege Akutami before the comic was serialized, is set for release in theaters on Friday, December 24, 2021.
On the phanpara teaser site, we have released key visuals and the game logo along with preview illustrations of the characters appearing in the game: Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Satoru Gojo, and Kento Nanami.

■JUJUTSU KAISEN TV Anime Overview
The TV anime is based on the original popular manga by Gege Akutami serialized since 2018 in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). It was broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021 on the MBS/TBS nationwide network of 28 stations. It is currently on sale as a Blu-ray and DVD series and is also available on video streaming services. JUJUTSU KAISEN 0: The Movie is planned for release on Friday, December 24, 2021. The original work boasts high popularity, with a circulation exceeding 50 million copies in Japan (as of June 14, 2021) including digital comic editions.
