Revision of the Mission Statement
in 2016

This is a rule for employees each and every one to act proactively to advocate our vision, to create the 21st century’s leading company, we put together CyberAgent’s set of values.

Here is the Mission Statement at that time:

Focus on Internet growth markets.
Seize opportunities to enter adjacent markets.
Always remember that we are Team CyberAgent.
Commit ourselves fully to recruitment.
Create an environment that attracts talented, loyal employees.
Build an organization that encourages success at all levels; eliminate seniority.
Holds ourselves to consistently high standards in obeying the law.
Remember that hubris leads to failure.
Become a global company by developing Internet services for the world.

In 2009, the Mission Statement had revised for the first time.
Several new words were added to reflect the company’s growth.

Focus on Internet growth markets.
Seize opportunities to enter adjacent markets.
Eliminate the disadvantages of scale.
Always remember that we are Team CyberAgent.
A great team cannot be produced without truthful dialogue.
Commit ourselves fully to recruitment.
Create an environment that attracts talented, loyal employees.
Build an organization that encourages success at all levels; eliminate seniority.
Holds ourselves to consistently high standards in obeying the law.
Remember that hubris leads to failure.
Think negative, produce positive.
Think with our own heads and create originals.
Become a global company by developing Internet services for the world.

Then, the Mission Statement was again revised in April 2016.

Always keep things FRESH!
Build teams that emphasize character over talent.
Commit ourselves fully to recruitment.
Build an organization that encourages success at all levels; eliminate seniority.
Eliminate the disadvantages of scale.
Be honest when you need help; work together to make things better
Create an environment that attracts talented, loyal employees.
Holds ourselves to consistently high standards in obeying the law.
Remember that hubris leads to failure.
Risk takers deserve second chances.
Compete creatively.
Always remember that we are Team CyberAgent.
Become a global company by developing Internet services for the world.

When the company grows and gets older, people tend to hesitate to try something new.
Always keep things FRESH!” has an intention to encourage new challenges and fresh mind.

Also, as we changed the corporate and Ameba logo last year, “Compete creatively” is added because creativity is getting more important than past internet services in smartphone services. 

Corporate values are not done after it is published. It has to be revised and changed in tune with the company growth and environmental shift.

To be the 21st century’s leading company, we keep being fresh and continue to challenge new things.

CyberAgent has focused on recruitment, training, and a dynamic organization.
In recent years attention has also turned to placing the right person in the right job, and developing the corporate culture.

Placing the right person in the right job, and strengthening the corporate culture, is the mission of the CyberAgent’s Human Resources Development Division.

We asked the head of this division, General Manger Masashi Ihata, about its activities and results.
