“AbemaTV” became compatible with “Chromecast” in August 2016, “Amazon Fire TV” Series in October, “Apple TV (4th Gen.)” in November, and “Android TV” this time, which means it is viewable on all major television devices.
“AbemaTV” became compatible with “Google Cast” in August 2016 and “Amazon Fire TV” Series in October, and what was remarkable was that there was a trend seen where television devices had over 200 minutes of average viewership per day, which was approximately 6 times that of smartphones, and in particular, news, sports, and Mahjong were commonly viewed. (*2) We plan to add “AirPlay” compatibility and adjust to new devices in the future, such as app services for PCs.
“AbemaTV” aims to become a service that is deeply entrenched in daily life as an internet TV station, a completely new style of video service, and will actively develop their service, such as upgrading their content and adding new features, in the future as well.
(*1) Google’s “Android TV” is a platform that enables you to enjoy new viewing experiences on the big screen with Android™ content by installing it in a set top box or TV set.
(*2) As of the end of October 2016.
