Media Business operates ABEMA, the TV of the future that launched in April 2016, and Ameba blog, the largest blog service in Japan. ABEMA has been enhancing monetization and has entered a loss reduction phase since FY2020.
Internet advertising has been our core business since our founding. We are expanding our market share by leveraging our competitive advantage in maximizing advertising effectiveness through our cultivated operational and technological capabilities. We aim to achieve continued growth by increasing upfront investments in DX to create new advertising businesses.
In 2009, the company stepped into the game business. With the success of multiple new games and our operational capabilities, the business has expanded to a scale where it has the top market share in Japan. While experiencing a slowdown in games launched in 2021 and a phase of no new releases, we work to stabilize the business by releasing several major titles in 2024 and beyond.
