Smartphone ownership of ordinary households in Japan reached 67.4% as of March 31, 2016* and smartphone advertising drives up the growth of internet advertising market. With the spread of smartphones, the use of social media such as "Facebook" and "Twitter" has expanded. In-feed ads and video ads which posted on the timeline of social media have become a recent trend.
